Hello Jim. Unfortunately My knowledge of edbrowse browsing the web is limited.
The only thing I can suggest right now is do a web search to find how others
might have addressed this issue.
Your welcome for my mentioning it. I love it too. Its fantastic. But I am not a
master with it yet. Unfortunately.
You could try the wiki at edbrowse.org and click on the wiki link and see what
you find there.
Also just doing a web search might work.
If all else fails. Maybe try to connect to the edbrowse email list if it still
exists.
In any case. This is a problem I am going to run into as well. So if you find
the answer. Please share it with the list.
My guess is it has something to do with the config file. And some key command
that I haven't learned yet. To switch user agents.

Thanks very much for bringing edbrowse to the attention of this list. I
installed it and love it! I've been a line editor user since the 1970s, with
ex being my favorite. Edbrowse could become my new favorite since it also
puts web pages into the editor buffer.
However, I am having trouble with the Ubiquity Unifi Controller website that
looks at the user agent string and says the browser being used is out of
date. I created user agent strings in .ebrc that mirror what Chrome or Edge
use but no joy. Looking at my-user-agent.com, the edbrowse user agent is the
same as when accessed with Chrome or Edge themselves.
Is anyone a serious edbrowse user and if so, what user agent string do you
offer to websites being accessed?
