I will bear that in mind.
What I am trying to do while I re-develop the Web site is to remove some
of the barriers I have come up against previously, which have led me to
let the site get ridiculously stale.
I put off creating and putting up new images because it was such a
painful thing to do, very tedious.
But I may be able to streamline it a bit.
I also need to remove some of the things that impact on my psychology
and stop me writing new and interesting, and up to date blog posts.
One of the things I have thought about is to write a new post when I
find out how to do something. It goes something like this:
1. I need to know how to do XYZ
2. Using Google I find out how to do XYZ.
3. I do XYZ
4. Some months later I need to know how to do XYZ again, but have
forgotten how and did not bookmark any pages.
Whereas if I had written a blog post including some tags, I could find
it again, and it would be there for other folks.
I am also now using the 'draft' functionality of the Nikola generator I
use for the Web content. So I can make this a phased release rather than
big bang.
I will take a look again at the BeagleBone and Banana Pi stuff, but not
until after I have Raspberry Pi totally squared away.

some discussion of images on list, personally, I think most folks would
find it useful to have at least one image available, even if it is an
outdated one, because it will allow them to get the pi up and running
with a minimum amount of fuss. Even though I know how, (and have done so
many times), creating a linux box that just works is a time consuming
process, and sometimes runs into snags that take time to diagnose.
Someone who is new to the pi might just want to get it up and running,
and who cares how old the image is, as long as the thing works, so they
can see it working, and know what's possible.
I know when I first started, having such an image would have saved me
much hassle.
I urge you not to eliminate all downloadable images, at least keep one
of them, regardless of it's age, as long as it still works with modern
pis, it won't matter how old it is, that's what updates are for once
it's installed.
I'd also urge you to leave the two pages you removed (stating you'd put
them back if there is interest), because there definitely is interest,
though someone may not know they're interested until after they've
viewed said page.
