Hello, I am Rodney Haynie for Pennsylvania, USA. I do not yet have a RasperryPI, but am looking into it for a couple projects I am thinking of. Most of the projects will involve sensors, and automatically acting upon the input from the sensors. I am a applications developer primarily on the Windows platform. I have over 22 years of professional development under my belt. I mostly use MS Visual FoxPro 8/9, SQL Server 2008, and a tiny bit of c#. The tools I use for this are MS Visual Studio 2010/2012, VFP 8/9, MS SQL Server 2008R2 SSMS, UltraEdit, and whatever else I need at the time. I am blind, with some light perception. I went legally blind in 2000, and my vision has decreased every year due to RP. I have an active JAWS license, and also use NVDA. So, at this point, I plan to be lurking in the background, gathering information, and finally taking the plunge once I have my ducks in a row. At which time I am sure I will start posting questions for which I have not found an answer. I was happy to hear that this list started up, and that visually impaired people are actively using the RasperryPI. Thanks.
