Can someone point me to a specific iso or img? I've tried three Debian and
one Arch with no luck. I can get Raspbian, Win 10 iot, and Ubuntu Mate to
work fine.

He actually didn't get one early, we're still waiting but I figured why
not have the Pi ready for when it does come out? I want to get as far as I
can, and will try to test with a broken BrailleNote Apex until then.
BRLTTY's website did list the Orbit as supported, but didn't list the
BrailleNote Touch. That surprised me, but I'll take what I can get. The
refreshabraille emulation is good to know, though!
So command line operating systems, and edbrowse/lynx for browsers. I got
arch Linux and coincidentally (hopefully, anyway) fried my SD card. I'm
waiting on Debian now.

You may need to check if BRLTTY latest build yet actually supports the
OR20.
If not, I'm sure they'll do it as soon as the author has one in hand to
work
with. This can probably be fixed by using the OR20's "emulation" mode
wherein it emulates the refreshabraille18, and selecting that device when
setting up brltty.
Of course we braille readers all hate your partner for getting an OR20 so
early! <GRIN>
I bet many who FINALLY get one will do up a similar package with a PI.
On the command line browsers, other than edbrowse if it works on the PI,
you're probably stuck with lynx and it's similar text browsers which work
fine with brltty and speakup. One can do much with lynx, but many sites do
not work at all or well with these somewhat dated browsers.

BRLTTY is indeed the only option, sorry. The latest build has alwaysbeen good to me. If your partner likes the command line, then I'd recommend
Debian, or Arch. Unfortunately, BRLTTY does not work well in GUI's,
requiring the Orca screen reader to drive it. Since Orca does not bind much
to braille commands, it is better to use the command line with braille. You
may be able to find browsers and such that work with braille, and any
command-line, non-TUI, program will work. Some TUI programs, like Edbrowse,
were designed to work well with speech and braille.
