Eric,
maybe more off topic but I find Android accessibility very frustrating
to put it mildly, sometimes it works very good and the next ime the same
thing does not. Now I am thinking of buying an IOS thing. Do you find
IOS accessibility better, you are using both aren't you?
I have an older pc with debian I might be able to help you with that if
you are also living in the netherlands.

Thanks Tim, I tried juice SSH. it has some accessibility foibles, but
it
would be all right if it wasn't for one important thing. the terminal
output is completely opaque to TalkBack. I was hoping to save myself a
similar crushing disappointment in the future if someone already had a
great solution worked out.
Thanks,
Erik

While I can't speak to its accessibility, I use Juice SSH on Android
which is free (there are upgradeable features if you need them and
want to pay, but the free version works for everything I've needed).
So while it may or may not be accessible, it at least won't cost you
anything more than time to poke at it and find out.
