Regarding Wi-Fi, I personally wish my cell phone provider offered a
ethernet dongle I could plug-in to my Laptop in those rare occasions I
don't have access to a wired connection. The fact it could be used as
part of a portable pi set-up only re-enforces that desire.

or no? I am struggling to get speech working in the GUI with my PI2.

there is no speech in the gui are you all just using the PI through ssh or
