It definitely can be done. I ran a wildcat BBS back in the day and there
are methods to do it now with a web server and Linux. Do some googling and
you will find people doing it. With that said there are better ways to do
it now days and run some of the same games with out the BBS part of it.

Hi all and happy new year.
I'm interested in running a bulletin board system, bbs, like they used to
have a lot of back in the 90s and early 2000s. I am still a relative newbie
with all the pi and linux stuff and am wondering if this would be a feasible
project. I'd like to have a message area, maybe a small file area and a
couple door games just for fun.
Anyone got any experience with that stuff?
