The Linux version of the tool you finally got to work for you being QT
based is a big red flag... I understand the Orca dev is working on it,
but Orca's support for GTK is far more everything good than it's QT
support to the point no one even considers using KDE with Orca.
Then again, most people who are already using Linux on their desktop
and/or laptop just use dd to write images instead of trying to fight
with GUI applications.
That you're using an HDMI television probably spared you from most of
the problems people have been having with the Pi's AV-output... most
of the people with problems are trying to set the Pi up for
earphones-only, no monitor setups.
