I'm not sure how accessible VNC would be, as I believe VNC simply transfers bitmaps from machine A to machine B and exposes a frame-buffer on the local computer. My gut feeling is that it's a bust for accessibility. Because of the network nature of X, if your desktop is running Linux (or another X server, such as on BSD or possibly Mac; or there might be some for Windows), you can SSH from your desktop into the RPi with the "-X" parameter, then launch an X process on the RPi that uses your local/desktop as the display. I don't know how it would interplay with Orca (whether it looks for accessibility bridges on the RPi or on the desktop), but it might be a nice option. -tim =========================================================== The raspberry-vi mailing list Archives: //www.freelists.org/archives/raspberry-vi Administrative contact: <mike.ray@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> ----------------------------------------------------------- Raspberry Pi and the Raspberry Pi logo are trademarks of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
