I am using the Rasbian Jessie image downloaded from the Raspberry VI site.
Since I am thinking about using the Raspberry Pi to stream audio and video
from web sites, I'm trying to get Orca to work over HDMI. I uncommented the
line in /boot/config.txt that says dtparams=audio=on. I took
speakup_soft.cfg out of /etc/modules-load.d. When I do the startx command,
I can hear "screen reader on" through my TV. However, when I try to move
around Mate, I get Speech sometimes, but not others. For example, when I
hit Alt F1 to go through the menues, I might hear Orca say Accessories, but
the next few times I down Arrow, I hear nothing. It's like the sound is not
being sent to the TV consistently. What am I doing wrong?
