Have you verified that your sound hardware is working prior to running the
script? Have you tried the script outside of ssh? We could probably help if you
included the script. :) Smiley.

All it does is load the sound stuff and then the program espeak.
So if I type anything it will just echo it to a speaker.
If I ssh in I can tell it has loaded. After login everything I type is sent
to the speaker.
I have had this working before but it has been a long time since I messed
with my PI r3. I use it for only this one purpose. My sd card went up in
smoke so I have to redo a new one.
So I know I must be forgeting something with setup or in the bashrc file. I
am not a Linux coder and as I said it has been a couple of years since I have
had to mess with this.
Any help or ideas will be much appreciated.
