Does this do all files in a directory?
I know that notepad++ has a find and replace for all files in a directory.
If I knew what to replace that would work in Linux, I could also use
Notepad++.
The windows carriage returns are I think \r\n
but I would not know how to express them for Linux in notepad++.

you can also try installing "dos2unix" and run,
dos2unix filename.sh
from the cli.
