Wow...thanks for update. As they say, one picture is worth a thousand words. I
had no idea of the extent of the surgery.
So nice to hear Axe is on the road to recovery. Looking forward to seeing her
on the links.

SOGAGG,
I know you have all been following Axe’s recovery following her back
surgery. I think it’s safe to say we can now call her The Bionic Woman.
More than a couple of screws and appliances are now attached to that spine.
After a rough couple of weeks, Axe is well on the way to mending. She made
her monthly follow-up, and Dr. Eastlake is pleased with his work and her
progress to date. That’s the good news. The bad news is that she won’t be
swinging a golf club for the next several months. If recovery continues on
it’s current path, she will start physical therapy in two months. That
spinal hardware includes a new technique: they included some cages that bone
will grow through, resulting in a much stronger structure. It will be a year
or so before they see the result on a CT scan.
She is working hard to recover as quickly as is possible. She’s up to
about three miles of walking in a day, multiple short walks. All-in-all, she
is doing great.
Warm Regards,
