Final thought: OB – so sorry you won’t be able to join, what with Oaks
North being the scene of the “Great Pond Disaster” that nearly cost you
your pull-cart, golf bag, laser rangefinder, a set of trousers, one pair of
socks, nearly new (six and a half years) pair of golf shoes and that
anchovy & avocado sandwich you had stashed in your back pocket for a
mid-course pick-me-up. Even worse (if possible) is the sadness being felt
by the local media (radio, TV, newspapers and YouTube) over your absence,
although the same could be said for the entire cadre of San Diego first
responders… Did I mention how close we came to convening a SOGAGG board to
consider changing your call sign to “Swamp Fox?” Actually, there is still
some talk… 😊
