Looking to get everyone's GHIN numbers so that we can easily pull
handicaps that now change daily. If you can send me your numbers I will add
them to an xls spreadsheet that I will send back to everyone. No worries
if you don't have a GHIN/Handicap, just send me your approximate handicap,
or the score you normally shoot.
For us who use the GRINT, they now provide an official WHS GHIN number,
but now we have to pay $20 /year, but is still a bargain. I followed the
below instructions to update mine, and it took about a day to kick in. Be
careful when paying your subscription (mine was handled through google
subscriptions) to pay annually, not monthly to make sure you don't get
charged every month.

Hi John,
Thank you for getting back to us.
We released a new App Version today around 12PM, where you will see that
the first couple of screens you will see is to set up the GHIN in your
TheGrint Account.
If you have a GHIN # already, it will prompt you to enter it and it will
link it to your TheGrint. If you don't have one, you can choose to get one
and it will give you one and link it.
If you don't create a new one or link it from the beginning, you have an
option within your Profile, under the Membership tab to Edit your World
Handicap System Number (GHIN).
Regarding the batch lookup, we don't have an option, but we can send it
to the Development Team to develop in the future.

2020 Changes Explained
As we announced several times in the last couple of months, in 2020 we are
implementing improvements including the integration with the new World
Handicap System.
We believe that this integration will benefit everyone and improve your
experience with TheGrint.
Here is what you need to know:
1. We are now able to provide a GHIN# to our golfers. Or you can link
yours if you already have one. Once you do, we will sync every night with
the USGA.
2. Handicap Revision now happens every night (instead of every 15 days)
and are calculated in the USGA servers. Once you get your GHIN from us you
will need to wait 1 day to get your Handicap.
3. We are no longer able to generate Handicaps free. Starting 2020 we now
have to pay the USGA everytime we generate a Handicap. Therefore, we cannot
longer give it away for free, but you can get a GHIN# from us for just
$19.99/year ALSO IMPORTANT Please know that we will make this right. So if
there is something you don't understand. Don't panic or write a bad review.

Here is more detail and some frequently asked questions Why is my handicap
showing NH? It could be for one of two reasons. a) you need at least 3
rounds recorded to have a handicap, and b) you need to wait 1 day from the
moment you create or link your GHIN# until your Handicap is Revised.
Why do I have to pay for a Handicap? Prior to 2020, we were able to
provide free compliant handicaps because it didn't cost us to generate them
as we calculated them in our servers. Now handicaps are calculated
centrally in the USGA servers, therefore we are required to pay for this
and other costs.
Why did you integrate with GHIN and WHS? Because it benefits everyone.
Before, there was confusion with our Handicaps even though they were
compliant. Now, since we are linked with GHIN and centralized it is more
clear that our handicaps are compliant. Additionally, this is now required
with the WHS and we had no option but to integrate.
How do I create my GHIN#?
Simple, open the Menu and go to "My Handicap" page. In there if you don't
have a membership it will redirect you to the ProShop so you can purchase
the Handicap for $19.99/year.
If you are already a PRO member, you can simply tap on the "Create GHIN#"
and it will create it for you.
If you want to link an existing GHIN# imply enter it in there.
NOTE: Make sure you have version 9.0.1 or higher Why can't I Create a
GHIN#? It gives me an error.
Most probably, it is giving you an error because you already had a GHIN#
(current or expired). If your email in TheGrint is the same as the email in
the USGA database it will generate an error.
You have 2 options:
a) You can find and add the GHIN# number to your TheGrint Profile or
b) if you want to create a new one, simply edit your email address in
TheGrint temporarily, create the GHIN# from your "My Handicap" page, and
then you can change it back.
Some of my scores got duplicated in the USGA page when you synced? We
apologize for this. This may have happened if you have been tracking both
GHIN and TheGrint in parallel. Please let us know at
contactus@xxxxxxxxxxxx and we will fix this for you. From now make sure
to upload only in one of the two systems. And these will sync.
