SOGAGG Colleagues,
As you're aware, our 4th annual Swing for our Heroes joint UTR/STEP charity
golf tourney was originally scheduled for June 12th and was subsequently
postponed to September 18th due to the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, with the current upsurge in COVID-19 infection numbers and
the ongoing effort to develop a vaccine to combat the coronavirus, we have
jointly determined to close out our efforts for the 2020 golf tourney and
recalibrate our focus to the June (date TBD), 2021 event.
For the Society, this means September is clear for planning purposes to
conduct our SOGAGG outing at some other venue and at a date of our choosing.
If someone would wish to take the lead in arranging that month's event it
would be greatly appreciated.
Note: Please keep July and August open for the time being. I'm still
hoping to host Mountain High III on July 31st at Mount Woodson (includes the
round of golf, breakfast, snacks and drinks at the turn and lunch) but won't
know until July 13th when I meet with the cardiology personnel at Sharp to
go over the results of my arteriogram form the July 8th procedure in my
leg/foot (I hate talking about this stuff).
Chi Chi - does this September closure change anything in terms of your
plans?
