His name is Carl Robbins. He was born to his unlucky parents over 60 years
ago here in San Diego. In school, his grades were poor at best but he was
an All County Middle Linebacker and he somehow graduated. Instead of going
to Stanford on a Football Scholarship, he went to San Diego State on a
Fishing Scholarship. After he graduated with a degree in Fisheries
Management, he went to sea as a NOAA Fishing Observer with the local Tuna
Fleet. There he learned his now famed fishing skills. He is truthfully THE
FINEST fisherman, fresh or salt water I have ever met. He is also a world
class diver and underwater photographer, having swam and solo filmed large
sharks, whales and other slimy salt water creatures.
To support his fishing and diving and developing golf excesses, he
actually took a job with the US Government and for many years, would tell
one office he was at the other office, while, in truth, he was fishing or
diving or golfing somewhere else. Just ask Rules.
What may get his nomination "over the top" or at least luke-warm
consideration in my warped mind, is that Carl, over many many years, has
purchased excessive amounts of the most expensive and inexpensive golf
related gizmos and gadgets all guaranteed to improve his golf game as
probably anyone on Earth. They have all failed.
I quietly asked Carl a number of months ago what he thought of the SOGAGG
Gang .. and he said, "NOW THOSE ARE MY KIND OF PEOPLE". What was he
thinking !!! He certainly gets marked down for bad judgement.
Even so, please consider Mr. Carl Robbins as a potential future member of
