Hello Everyone,
Here is the final plan for our outing on Friday.
Docho will be at Balboa Golf Resort's Tobeys 19th Hole Restaurant for
breakfast around 7 am for any of us who wish to join him for a fine meal
before we play. In the morning we will be playing a very straight forward
Nassau game. In the afternoon we will play a game called The Rule of Nines.
I have included a description of each below. Also, as a reminder, we will
have a side meeting at 1 pm (or whenever we are ready) for anyone involved
or interested in Volunteer planning for the NDIA Folds of Honor golf
tournament.

Nassau is sometimes called Best Nines, or 2-2-2 when referring to a $2
Nassau. In a Nassau round, the two person team winning the front nine wins
$2 per player, the team winning the back nine gets wins $2 per player, and
the team winning the overall 18-hole round wins a wins $2 per player. We
will use Stroke play <

wins a hole by comparing of the best score on each team with handicaps
calculated in. The main thing is that in Nassau there are three tournaments
in one: front nine, back nine, overall.
The rules of Nines or 5-3-1
Nine points are awarded to the three players on every hole in the match.
The points are awarded on the basis of how the players score with the
handicaps applied. Here's how the points are distributed:
* First place - 5 pts, second place - 3 pts, third place - 1 pt
* First place - 5 pts, and two tied for second place - 2 pts each
* Two tied for first place - 4 pts, third place - 1 pt
* All tied - 3 pts each
* First place wins with birdie or better - 7 pts, second and third
place - 1 pt
