Thank you all for the warm birthday wishes!

Um, Ace, I’m embarrassed to say that those “Star Wars” episodes you sent were
meant for slightly more ‘mature’ audiences – let’s just say the title wasn’t
Star “Wars” and leave it at that.

I did have a good day with Lonestar, Barf, Princess Vespa and Yogurt fighting
the evil Dark Helmet and those slimy Spaceballs! May the Schwartz be with you!!!

Thanks again all for the birthday salutations and I hope to be out on the links
soon enjoying a mediocre round of golf (if I’m playing particularly well) with
the finest group of people I know. Maybe you can join us for drinks or
something after the round .  Seriously, there is no better group than SOGAGG
and I’m privileged to be a part of it.

Society team mates,

Trek pulled off a trifecta today:  (1) He has made good strides in his recovery
from shoulder operations and will hopefully come off of the DL soon to rejoin
us on the links, (2)  He commanded that today’s cool, rainy, gloomy morning be
replaced with warmer temperatures and sunshine for a special occasion (and it
did)  and (3)  He hoisted the birthday flag in front of house and commanded all
those denizens of the neighborhood fall in ranks at a “modified parade rest”
and pay attention to the lessons he will share on how to get through daunting
health issues with a positive attitude, wearing his SOGAGG shirt to bed as a
form of PJ’s to comfort him through pain and, finally, to divulge the amazing
news that he will throw off all forms of his strict dieting habits and add feta
cheese to his chicken salad (no dressing) today for not only breakfast but
lunch and dinner as well, because…well because he’s the birthday boy…!

Trek, only because we luv yeah man, are we sending over to your house via
FEDEX, a large brown, unmarked package (but not the one you usually get through
the mail) that contains “Star Wars, the first 128,714 episodes.”   We know
you’ll turn down the sound and mouth every character’s lines throughout ‘cuz
that’s how you roll… J
