I understand the concern. Your planned reschedule summary may conflict with the
Twining family September birthday celebrations. We typically have a weekend
bash coinciding with several birthday dates in September. One of them being
Carol’s on the 26th. So put me down as doubtful for now. I’ll let you know if
our bash is scheduled on an earlier weekend.

After reviewing the current safety concerns relating to the Corona Virus and
some reduction in the number of participants, I have decided to reschedule
our planned SOGAGG Spring Classic event to this Fall beginning on Friday
September 25th thru Sunday September 27th. I hope everyone who was planning
the trip North understands that this decision is based on an abundance of
caution and making an early call to move our event to this Fall so that
everyone can cancel any hotel reservations without incurring any cancellation

There were many SOGAGG members who mentioned to me that they really wanted to

I am hoping by setting the new September dates, that we will be able to get
an even larger number of participants with this six-month advance notice.
I intend to work with the courses below to reschedule our tournaments for the
same or similar golf courses depending on availability. There could be a
slight change in player pricing with the date change but I do not expect any
significant difference.
SEP 25th Friday = Tierra Rejada Golf Course, 15187 Tierra Rejada Road,
Moorpark, CA https://tierrarejadagolf.com/ Rates for Greens fee is $40 pp ;
w/cart and range balls. There is a 19th hole with refreshments and excellent
burgers, sandwiches as well as chips and salsa. Moorpark is about 45 minutes
southeast of Ventura and just a short drive off of the Ventura Hwy 101.
Tournament Format - Individual Net Skins Game and Low Net Competition -
Entry $10 per player $5 per skin and $10-$30 Total Low Net 1st Place $20 and
2nd place $10 (Note: payouts may change based on # of players). Contest
rules will be announced at the course prior to tee off.
SEP 26th Saturday = Ojai Valley Resort, https://www.ojaivalleyinn.com/golf ;
905 Country Club Rd, Ojai, CA
Rates for Greens fee is $89 pp w/cart and range balls. There is a very quaint
19th hole called Jimmy's with indoor and outdoor seating. Many a famous
golfer has tipped a pint or two over the last century so it's time for SOGAGG
to leave its mark.
Tournament Format - Shamble - Four Player Teams Entry $10 per player 1st
Place $80/team
2nd Place $40/team Team composition as well as contest rules will be
announced at the course prior to tee off.
SEP 27th Sunday = Sterling Hills, https://www.sterlinghillsgolf.com 901 ;
Sterling Hills Drive, Camarillo, CA Rates are $55/pp for greens fee, cart,
range balls and breakfast or lunch. There is a nice clubhouse and 19th hole
for post round celebrations and bon voyage.
Tournament Format 6-6-6 Two Person Teams Holes 1-6 Scramble, Holes 7-12
Modified Chapman and Holes 13-18 Best Ball. Entry $10 per person, 1st Place
$60/team, 2nd Place $40/team and 3rd Place $20/team. Team composition as well
as contest rules will be announced at the course prior to tee off.
ACTION REQUIRED --- I'd like to get a preliminary response from everyone on
whether they are available and interested in attending on the above weekend
in September.
