I think we’ll need to wait until we can use carts again. I can’t imagine
walking and You can’t play Steele Canyon without playing the Canyon 9 !!

*The golf course will be OPEN beginning*
*Friday, May 1*
With precautions in place and following the social distancing
requirements, we will be opening our golf course. The restaurant and bar
area will remain closed. However, we will have the Snack Bar open for
beverages, hot dogs, chips, etc. as to go orders only from 9am-5pm.
*We will be limiting tee times to Member tee times only before 11am this
Friday-Sunday. General public will be welcome to book after 11am these
days*.
In order to follow social distancing guidelines golfers must:
- Maintain social distancing of 6 feet at all times.
- Per San Diego County mandate, everyone must have a face mask at all
times.
- Golfers may have their temperature checked upon entering the
facility (county mandate being contemplated)
- NO CASH transactions.
- It will be highly encouraged to walk, however, we will permit 1
person per golf cart as available. Golfers from the same household may
share a cart. Carts will be sanitized after each round. Please dispose of
your own trash as much as possible!
- Personal pull/push carts will be allowed. DO NOT use them on tee
boxes or greens.
- The Practice Range will be available with limited stalls for proper
social distancing. The Chipping and Putting greens will also be open. No
gatherings will be allowed.
- No bunker rakes on the course.
- Cups in the holes will be upside down. We have found this is
comparable to the foam noodle, where the ball sits high in the cup.
Flagsticks are to remain in the hole, untouched, at all times.
- Check in will be at the pro shop with limited people allowed at any
one time and spaced properly.
- On course restrooms will be CLOSED.
We will have a golf professional at the golf shop to maintain the proper
spacing and will have golf personnel touring the course to ensure all
social distancing practices are being adhered to. In order for this to
happen, it is mandatory that you check in at the golf shop before play and
begin at a first tee or as directed by one of the professional staff.
Again, this pandemic is a fluid situation and developments evolve
quickly. The health, safety and well-being of our Members, Employees and
the Community is our top priority. Please make sure you closely follow all
social distancing guidelines as outlined so that the privilege to exercise
and golf is not jeopardized.
