2011 ANNUAL MEETING AT MEMPHIS
April 29 - May 1 
The 2011 TOS Annual Meeting will be held in the Memphis area from Friday, April 
29 through Sunday, May 1. The meeting headquarters will be the Plantation Oaks 
Suites & Inn, 6656 Hwy 51N in Millington on the north side of Memphis. The 
meeting is being hosted by the Memphis Chapter of the TOS.
Directions
To reach the Plantation Oaks hotel from I-40, take exit 24B (Millington/Hwy 
385) west to Millington. Go 16 miles, turn left (south) on Hwy 51N. The hotel 
will be 2.2 miles ahead on the left.

Lodging
A block of rooms at the Plantation Oaks is being held for TOS. Rate is $69.95 
per night for either king or double beds. Reservations may be made toll free:

Field Trips:
Trips will be held Saturday and Sunday mornings. Destinations will include 
Shelby Forest (also click here), Shelby Farms Park (Penal Farm), including the 
Mid-South Raptor Center, The Earth Complex (Pits) and the North Treatment Plant.
Banquet
The Saturday evening banquet, annual meeting, and program will be held at Old 
Timer's Restaurant,7918 C Street in Millington, approximately 3 miles from the 
hotel. The banquet speaker will be Kathy Shelton, Mississippi Department of 
Wildlife Fisheries and Parks. Kathy's topic will be "The Effects of the Great 
Oil Spill of 2010 on the Wildlife of the Gulf Coast."

Friday, April 29
6:00 PM - Plantation Oaks: Registration, refreshments, announcements and field 
trip sign-up.
Saturday, April 30
7:00 AM - 12 Noon: Field trips depart from the Plantation Oaks hotel.
12 Noon - 1:30 PM: Lunch.
2:00 PM - Committee Meetings: Neighborhood Bistro adjacent to hotel.
3:00 - 5:00 PM - Board of Directors Meeting: Neighborhood Bistro adjacent to 
hotel.
6:00 PM - Banquet, Annual Meeting, and Program: Neighborhood Bistro adjacent to 
hotel.
Sunday, May 1
7:00 AM - Field trips depart from Plantation Oaks hotel.

Registration:
The registration fee is $10. The fee for the Saturday evening buffet banquet 
and program is $20.
