A LARGE group of 35+ enthusiastic birders came out to see and hear some
birds at Radnor Lake in Nashville this morning. While there were stretches
of quiet early on, and the breeze picked up a bit at times, it was a great
morning to be out. Even at 11:30 am, as I was forcing myself to head to the
car, the spillway was about as active as I've ever seen it. Of the *64
species* observed, highlights were: *15 warbler* species, many of which
very cooperative and posed for the group out in the open and down low; 4
species of Vireo; 4 male Scarlet Tanagers; and an Osprey circling overhead
the group on the dam.
It was a great TOS event and we appreciated everyone being there.
Great Birding!
