I was working near Tim’s Ford Reservoir this morning and stopped by Fowler Road
Irrigation Pond on my way home. There was a good bit of mudflats exposed on the
west end. There was a large group of Bonaparte’s and Ring-billed Gulls present.
Amongst that group was an American Avocet. Other shorebirds included Least
Sandpipers and Killdeer. The only waterfowl close enough to identify were
Hooded Mergansers, but there was a large group of unidentifiable birds near the
eastern levee. A Common Loon was present near mid-lake.
