Pretty active day in Shelby Park this morning after the rain stopped. Best and most surprising was an American Bittern that flushed from the edge of the pond next to the Ecology Trail. It was about 20 feet in front of me when it flushed and gave me great in-flight views as it flew towards the Cumberland River.
