Mt. Olive Rd.
Anderson County
7/21/2013

The light was getting pretty bad around 8:00pm, between the sun getting low,
the trees overhead, and the overcast skies, but I got a brief look at a
Catharus from below that had just the faintest hint of pale chest spotting. It
clucked at me a few times and then disappeared. The way I see it, it couldn't
have been anything other than a Veery, which I think is a little unusual west
of the Smokies at this time of year. Specific location was on Mt. Olive Rd.,
about a half-mile north of the corner with Byrams Fork.
