Amber and I were down in Louisville in Blount Co., TN on Saturday (27 Dec) and did a little scouting for the Knoxville CBC which be held next Saturday (3 Jan 2004) (let me know if you're interested in helping out). Not a lot of ducks, only 4 species were found in our brief search today: Hooded Merganser, Gadwall, Mallard and Canada Goose. Lots of raptors, they were everywhere. Best was an adult Bald Eagle seen flying over Pellissippi Parkway (I-140) at Toole's Bend, just north of where it crosses the TN River. That would put it in territory #9 which will be covered by Ron Hoff and Dollyann Myers and close to territories covered by us and Allan Trently so don't forget to look up next Sat. :-) Dean and Amber Edwards Knoxville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
