This afternoon (11/15/19), Bob saw a Bald Eagle flying over the football field
at Tennessee School for the Deaf. It then flew up the channel between the
mainland and Knoxville Downtown Island Airport (DKX) and across the airfield at
about 100 feet altitude. It headed in the direction of Holston Hills and
disappeared. There has been a nest not far upstream of the airport in recent
years.
