Bells Bend Park
Davidson Co., TN
Friday Dec 11, 2020
8:30-11:00am

Arrived at Bells Bend Park on this last of the warm mornings.
Ran into Rick Knight and eventually several other birders
looking for the CASSIN'S KINGBIRD. It was not immediately
in evidence, so I and several others continued to walk the trail
along the river to the other side of the field under the power
lines where it had been seen originally. Returning to the spot
where Rick Knight had remained, we saw him wave to us. He
had just found the kingbird perched in the same lone bare tree,
far out into the weedy field, where it had been seen yesterday
morning. Unfortunately, after less than a minute it dropped
back into the weeds again and was gone from view.

At such a distance, a scope is very helpful.
