Went to Bells Bend Park this morning to check on the sparrow.
Arrived a bit after 7 am when there was still a bit of fog
around. Rick Shipkowski was already there and had seen the
NELSON'S SPARROW perhaps 10 minutes earlier. I stayed for
about 2 hours. During that time he bird apparently remained
in weeds, mostly in front of the small pond in the bowl
shaped depression. However, today it was behaving with its
more usual MO and was in skulking mode most of the time.
While it did pop up 3-4 times during my visit, the views
were brief and photos were more difficult than yesterday.
