Was it bigger than a bread box? 

Was it a passerine, heron or raptor? Was it flying or perched? If at night, 
what time and how much light? Was the tail long or short? Were the wings 
pointed or rounded? How big was the round spot? Could you see the bill? What 
type habitat was it seen in? Exactly where were you when you saw it....;o)

Yes, the Martins have been moving south and to roosting areas for at least a 
month in most areas.
