Red-bellied Woodpecker was observed feeding a juvenile on Thursday, Sept 1st
and we have had two juvenile wrens bobbing around our waterer and tree trunks.
We had at least two, if not three juvenile nuthatches among the trunks, raising
a fuss yesterday, Sept 3rd. This occurred in Normandy TN.
I have had two different red-headed woodpeckers incidences of them flying right
down in front of my car, picking up an insect off of the road and taking its
time...one was at Central High School's lawn on August 3rd and the other was
August 10th in Wartrace near Cascade High School. It is always a treat to see
red-headed woodpeckers since they are not numerous in my county.
Great Egret was seen on pond near Cascade on August 18th week several times.
All of the above is in Bedford Co TN.
Traveling in Wilson Co to visit a relative, we noted numerous Great Egrets on
LaGuardo on Friday, Sept. 3rd.
Hummers still abound.
