Birders: ( Birdwatching at Boat Docks in Hamblen & Grainger Counties & Birdwatching at Panther Creek State Park ) This morning on August 2, 2005 Shane & Dennis Adams went birdwatching at the Boat Docks in Hamblen & Grainger counties we saw 4 Great Blue Herons first one was at the Boat Launch Rd part of the Cherokee Park between Hamblen County & Grainger County sitting on a Drift wood at the back cove near the 20 mph boat sign the second two was at the 25 Access Boat Ramp in Grainger County one was sitting front of the left front boat launch ramp and the second was flying in front of the bank on the other side of Cherokee Lake heading North the third one was at the back cove behind Kidwell Ridge Church part of Panther Creek State Park flying towards the bank or a tree branch or limb and the fourth one was at Boat Ramp Rd. Boat ramp part of Panther Creek State Park also flying towards the other side of the Lake and the right of the Cedar Hill Boat Dock / At the Panther Creek State Park I saw a Eastern Kingbird on the top of the hill at the last picnic area No. 2 sitting on the top of the tree watching and we also saw 2 mourning Cloaks butterflies at the Boat Launch Rd. and some Swallow Tails Butterflies at the Boat Ramp Rd. on the right of the boat ramp.
