Several of us (Dan Jacobson and John Dever were with me for most of the
day) spent much of the day on Sunday (4/24) out in the field in Hamilton
County. My total for the day was 123 species, one of my highest daily
totals ever for the county. We had 27 species of warblers but could not
find an Ovenbird.

The Highlights included:

Cravens House Field Trip

20 species of warblers

2 Golden-winged (great views)

1 Bay-breasted

1 Cerulean

2 Baltimore Oriole

4 Swainson's Thrush

Standifer Gap Marsh

LARK SPARROW (My first for the county, rare migrant, I found it in the
parking lot of the road through the marsh, it stayed in the area the
whole time we were there. Seen by Tim Baker today (4/25))

American Bittern - Get great looks at it flying over the marsh.

Little Blue Heron - Pretty early

Sora

Marsh Wren

Others:

Northern Waterthrush - Across street from Blue Blazes parking lot on
Moccasin Bend.

Grasshopper Sparrow - At a new location in the fields at the back of
Lovell Field (airport).

2 Yellow-crowned Night Herons flying over the intersection of Wilcox and
Amnicola Hwy.

Common Nighhawk - Last bird of day flying over Broad Street.
