This afternoon on the way back to town from the farm I stopped at Lake Karen. With binoculars I was able to see there was a Common Loon and Buffleheads, but wasn't sure about the rest of the ducks. I went home, got the scope and returned. With the scope I could discern that there was a female Black Scoter in a small group of female Ring-necked Ducks.
