This afternoon a first-of-the-year spring migrant warbler was observed in my
backyard in Birchwood (Hamilton County). The male Black-&-white Warbler spent
several minutes working the trunk and limbs of a maple tree looking for
insects. Last spring I did not have even one spring migrant warbler.
