I spent a raining morning along Miser Station, Louisville Road, Louisville
Marina and Point Park, Poland Creek CG and Lowes Ferry Road to Scenic Point. I
observed 47 species including a Merlin feeding on a small bird near the Alcoa
Duck Pond, 13 Sandhill cranes in fields by veterinarian office on Lilliard
Lane, two recurring Great egrets in Lackey Creek , Brown-headed nuthatches at
Louisville Point Park picnic area, Redhead ducks on Hitch pond, one Horned
grebe and one Red-breasted merganser near the entrance to Scenic Point, and
hundreds of Bonaparte gulls off Scenic Point. Hope they are around for
Saturday's CBC. Warren BielenbergMaryville
