Holding true to it's being one of the earliest Spring migrants to return here
in the Cumberlands/ Campbell County was a singing BLUE HEADED VIREO along old
Highway 63- Royal Blue (Sunquist) WMA. At the same time, a wonderful bubbly
Winter Wren joined in
the chorus...He will be leaving soon for higher elevations.
I drove the 7 mile stretch that follows Cove Creek upwards in elevation hoping
to hear the first Louisiana Waterthrush. Did not, but they will be in the next
few days..
Good Spring birding everyone! What a great way to spend our "socially
distancing" time...
