TN birders,
Did some cherry picking on the TN year list today, adding three. On Owl Hollow
Road, thanks to the post by Marty earlier, got the Swainson's warbler on the
2nd day try at 6:45 am today calling. This was an all time new county bird for
me, bringing the Bradley Co total to 197. On Old Alabama Road, finally heard
my first yellow-billed cuckoo. Later in the morning, had 2 great egrets at
South Mouse Creek in Charleston, along with 3 great blue herons. Attending the
cuckoo was a chipping Louisiana waterthrush, not new for the year.
