TN birders,

Finally got out after a matter of weeks of not much birding. Finally connected
on my first of year Eastern wood-pewee heard on Lauderback Road in the south
end of the county. At the opposite end in Charleston, had the following birds
at either Cleveland Wastewater Treatment Plant(CW) or South Mouse Creek:

double-crested cromorant-9-SMC-first time in my 25+ yrs of birding to have them
at this site-foy for county
great blue heron-SMC
osprey-SMC-occasionally at this site
killdeer-CW-lone bird
spotted sandpiper-CW-foy for TN
solitary sandpiper-3-CW-foy for county
semipalmated sandpiper-7-CW-foy for TN
least sandpiper-13-CW
pectoral sandpiper-CW-foy for TN
ruby-throated hummingbird-SMC-foy for county
belted kingfisher-SMC
red-bellied woodpecker-SMC
eastern kingbird-SMC
carolina wren-SMC
northern mockingbird-SMC
European starling-SMC-thankfully, you usually don't see them at this site
blue grosbeak-SMC-m,f

All of the birds were on the back pond at CW, but all were a little skittish
today. Use your car as a blind and creep up on them.
