TN birders, A check of South Mouse Creek on Monday, 7Feb showed it to be fairly quiet with a single drake mallard and one swamp sparrow, which was FOY for the county for me. Today, concentrated on Candies Creek area including B and B Marina. Highlights included: whooping cranes-2-seen best from the mailbox on the street-282 Marina Hills Dr, leg bands top to bottom are green/red & green/red/white. Does anyone know from the band combinations what birds these are? Of course, they are not countable for ABA purposes, but beautiful birds nonetheless. mallard-single male gadwall-5m,2f Am coot-one from the marina least sandpiper-7 barred owl-heard from Candies Creek Ridge Rd-FOY for me for TN.
