Today has been a busy and delightful day for me with TWO Yardbirds and One
Lifebird. The Morning was spent on my front porch where I heard both a Catbird
AND a House Wren singing. This was 1/2 mile East of The Hermitage in
Hermitage, TN. At 7:30 PM I went to the walking trail around the pond at
Summit Hospital in Hermitage, TN. The first birds I saw were two ducks sitting
in the grass by the parking lane. I first thought they were female Mallards
but they looked TOO dark with Odd head markings, notably a dark long eye line.
I took photos from 5 feet away and on comparing them to the other female
Mallards present and checking my guides I confirmed that they were American
Black Ducks! A new Lifebird for me ! in all at the two locations today were
seen and/or heard:

Canada Goose 2- At Summit Hospital Pond
