2-19-07 Lewis Co. Hohenwald The Common Redpoll that Bill Pulliam found at his mother's house in Hohenwald was seen this morning by Mary Zimmerman, Frank Fekel, Phillip Casteel and Jan Shaw of Nashville. Gail and Steve Clendenen from Knoxville were also present. We just parked in the driveway and watched from our cars. We got there about 8:15 and saw the bird coming to the tube feeder at the back of the carport about 8:45. It flew from there to the wysteria and stayed there with House Finches and Goldfinches for a while before flying off. It returned about 30 minutes later and did the same thing. Thank you to Bill and his mother, Betsy Russel, for finding this beautiful bird and allowing visitors.
