A flock of blackbirds which contained about 75 BREWER'S was seen at the Johnson farm in the fields next to the Cookie Jar Cafe on February 1 (Kevin Calhoon, Bonnie Johnson, Judy Newsome) off East Valley road in Sequtchie co. A couple of female Purple Finches were coming to the feeders at David Chaffins residence in Bradely co. this week. There have been very few reports of this species this winter in our area. (David Chaffin) Redheads have been reported in our area over the last couple of weeks. Two were at Wolftever along with 3 Canvasbacks and 23 Lesser Scaup on January 27 (Kevin Calhoon) and two were at the slough at Blythe Ferry at the crane veiwing area on Feb. 1. (David Chaffin, John Henderson) A male Northern Harrier was also reported from Blythe Ferry on Feb. 1. The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on February 13 at 7:00 PM at the Accension Luthern Church 720 South Germantown Road.
