Coleman Lake North Davidson Co., 1-18-15 There were TWO Cackling Geese amidst a large flock of Canada Geese at Coleman Lake in North Nashville this morning. The geese were in a vacant lot at the end of Val Marie Dr on the back side of the lake. From Gallatin Rd, take Twin Hills Dr (across from Rivergate Mall), turn right on Val Marie Dr, and follow it to the end. You can also access Coleman Lake from the end of Shepherd Hills Dr. I've attached a pic of one of the birds that shows the size comparison with a regular Canada; pretty amazing - the white neck ring is visible as well.
