A single male Calliope Hummingbird was reported today at approximately 12 noon EST in the Louisville area of Blount County. Joann McMillan reported that the the bird came to their feeder at 3981 Miser Station Road, and stayed for about five minutes. She has watched for about two hours, but the bird has not reappeared. She stated that when the bird left it was traveling in a southwesterly direction. If the bird reappears, she will call me and I will post the information. As I am typing this, Mrs. McMillan reports that the bird is back. If you wish directions to her house, call 865-681-7937.
