Handsome bird in his orange frilled white courting outfit. I thought it was fitting that we saw both brown-headed COWbirds and a CATTLE egret directly next to a bunch of cows. I am new enough to birding not to know what I ought to report. Everytime I see a new bird, it is the first time to see it for me. My life list is growing by leaps and bounds. One Bald Eagle at Wapanocca Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas on Monday (April 22nd). I was proud of my country and amazed at Nature when I saw it. Umistakeable with white head and tail, big yellow beak, slowly circling in the sky. Just like the picture in my field guide.
