I can be reached at 423-821-6802 or at kac@xxxxxxxxxx <mailto:kac@xxxxxxxxxx> Songbird migration continues: Gary Brunvoll and I had a spectacular male GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER on the Hardee trail at the Cravens House Unit of the Lookout Mountain National Battlefield Park on August 14. Other warblers were Black-throated Green, Hooded and Black and White. I observed a Canada Warbler in flock of Hoodeds and Worm-eatings on the Gum Springs Trail (one of the park service trails below Sunset Rock at Lookout Mountain Battlefield Park) on the afternoon of August 9. I was emailed a fine picture of an adult BLACK TERN taken by Dreama and Charles Dean at Standifer Gap Marsh (Hamilton co.) on August 13. I have not heard if it is still being seen. The Brown Pelican was seen by Bob Edens on a bouy above Chickamauga Dam on August 12. The bird has been in this general area since July 11.
