Songbird migration continues:

Gary Brunvoll and I had a spectacular male GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER on the
Hardee trail at the Cravens House Unit of the Lookout Mountain National
Battlefield Park on August 14. Other warblers were Black-throated Green,
Hooded and Black and White.

I observed a Canada Warbler in flock of Hoodeds and Worm-eatings on the Gum
Springs Trail (one of the park service trails below Sunset Rock at Lookout
Mountain Battlefield Park) on the afternoon of August 9.

I was emailed a fine picture of an adult BLACK TERN taken by Dreama and
Charles Dean at Standifer Gap Marsh (Hamilton co.) on August 13. I have not
heard if it is still being seen.

The Brown Pelican was seen by Bob Edens on a bouy above Chickamauga Dam on
August 12. The bird has been in this general area since July 11.

The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on September 8 at
7:00 PM
at Accension Luthern Church, 720 South Germantown Rd.

Get out in the Field and let me know what you see!
