You have reached Kevin Calhoon with the Chattanooga RBA, sponsored by the
Chattanooga Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society.
This is Update Number #16 made on August 14, 2003.

The TOS fieldtrip to the Brainerd Levee on August 9 produced around 40
species. Highlights included:
3 Least Sandpipers
1 Pectoral Sandpiper
3 Solitary Sandpiper
1 Spotted Sandpiper
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
A Yellow-crowned Night Heron was seen on the way home from the fieldtrip at
the wet area at the intersection of 58 Hwy and Bonnie Oaks. (Jimmy
Wilkerson) and two were present there on August 10. (Judy Newsome)
Migration continues at the Cravens House.
August 7
Hooded Warbler
Black-throated Green
American Redstart
Worm-eating
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER (female bird, always a good migrant in our area)

1 Chestnut-sided Warbler
1 Yellow Warbler
1 Kentucky Warbler
2 Black-throated Green Warbler
1 House Wren
7 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds
