Migrating songbirds continue to migrant through our area. The first report of Rose-breasted Grosbeak came from the Johnson family farm in Sequatchie co. on August 26 (Bonnie Johnson) A Canada Warbler and American Redstart were seen at the Cravens House on August 31. (Harold Birch, Kevin Calhoon) A Magnolia Warbler, House Wren and the first report of Veery came from Greenway Farms on September 1. (David Aborn) A Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black and White and Common Yellowthroat were seen at the Cravens House on September 5. (Libby Wolfe, Kevin Calhoon) A Tennessee Warbler, Canada and American Redstart were seen on Signal Mountain on September 5.
